The San Juan Mountains in fall are unlike anywhere else on earth. Golden aspens. Red rock canyons. Cool crisp air. The kind of place that makes you slow down, take a breath, and remember why you chose this life.

We are bringing our community together right in the heart of it all for our first ever in person Start Your Someday gathering.

This is not a scheduled itinerary. This is not a rigid agenda. This is your weekend to explore, connect, and adventure entirely at your own pace in one of the most magical places in the American West.

The Details

When: Thursday October 1 through Sunday October 4, 2026

Where: Durango, Colorado

Spots: 15 to 20 vans — intentionally small

Cost: Starting at $256 for the full weekend

Rigs in Durango is designed around one simple idea. You are free.

Sleep in. Hit the road at sunrise. Fish all day. Hike. Drive the Million Dollar Highway. Sit by the river and do absolutely nothing. There is no wrong way to spend your weekend here.

We will share daily suggestions for things to see, explore, and experience across the Durango area. Silverton. Ouray. The Million Dollar Highway at peak fall color. The San Juan River. The mountains. All of it right in your backyard for four days.

You choose what calls to you. We are just here to point you in the right direction.

Optional Evening Gatherings

Every evening we will have an optional community gathering for anyone who wants to connect. No pressure. No obligation. Just good people in a good place if you feel like it.

Thursday Evening — Welcome Campfire Roll in whenever you arrive. Campfire going. Come say hi when you are ready.

Friday Evening — Community Night An optional casual evening together around the campfire. Bring your own food and drinks. BYOF and BYOB always welcome. Stay as long as you like.

Saturday Evening — Brewery Night Optional private evening at Ska Brewing in downtown Durango. Craft beer, great food, and the kind of conversation that only happens when good people end up in the same place at the same time.

Sunday Morning — Farewell On your own. Coffee and one last look at those mountains before the road calls again.

Optional Excursions

Guided Fly Fishing on the San Juan River Full day float trip with Durango Fly Fishing. Guide, lunch, beverages, and all gear included. Limited to 10 spots — 5 boats of 2. First come first served.

Pricing

Camping Only — $256 Full weekend camping included.

Camping plus Fly Fishing Solo — $521 Full weekend camping plus one guided fly fishing spot. We will match you with a partner.

Camping plus Fly Fishing Team of 2 — $836 Full weekend camping plus guided float trip for two. One boat. One guide. Everything included.

Food and Dining

All other meals are on your own. Durango has incredible local restaurants, food trucks, and coffee shops worth exploring throughout the weekend.

Thursday — BYOF and BYOB welcome Casual welcome night around the campfire. Bring your own food and drinks.

Friday — Brewery Night Private evening at Ska Brewing in downtown Durango. Craft beer and great food.

Saturday — Community Potluck Everyone brings or makes their favorite dish. Family style under the San Juan sky. Come hungry and bring your best.

Sunday — Farewell On your own. Coffee and one last look at those mountains.

The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is unlike anything else on earth. Hundreds of hot air balloons launching at sunrise over the Rio Grande. The largest balloon festival on the planet. The kind of morning that makes you put your phone down and just stare.

We are bringing our community together right in the heart of it all for our second Start Your Someday gathering of the fall.

This is not a scheduled itinerary. This is not a rigid agenda. This is your weekend to explore, connect, and experience one of the most breathtaking events in the American West entirely at your own pace.

Wake up before sunrise and watch hundreds of balloons launch over the Rio Grande. Sleep in and catch the afternoon mass ascension instead. Explore Old Town Albuquerque. Drive the Turquoise Trail. Eat green chile on everything. Sit at camp and do absolutely nothing.

There is no wrong way to spend your weekend here.

We will share daily suggestions for things to see explore and experience across Albuquerque and the surrounding area. The Sandia Mountains. Old Town. The Bosque Trail along the Rio Grande. Green chile cheeseburgers at the Owl Bar. All of it right in your backyard for four days.

Balloon Fiesta entrance tickets — purchase directly at balloonfiesta.com. Tickets are required for entry to the official Balloon Fiesta Park and sell out fast. We strongly recommend purchasing yours as soon as you book your spot with us.

Food and drinks — BYOF and BYOB always welcome at our gatherings. Albuquerque has incredible local restaurants food trucks and green chile everything worth exploring throughout the weekend.
