The San Juan Mountains in fall are unlike anywhere else on earth. Golden aspens. Red rock canyons. Cool crisp air. The kind of scenery that makes you stop the van and just stand there.
We are hosting our first ever in person Start Your Someday gathering right in the heart of it all.
This is a small intentional gathering. Good people. Good rigs. Good vibes. We are keeping it intimate so everyone actually connects.
The Details
Location: RV Park in Durango, Colorado
Dates: October 1 through 4, 2026
Arrival: Thursday evening
Departure: Sunday morning
Spots: 15 to 20 vans — intentionally small
What Is Included
Leaf Peeping Silverton, Ouray, and the Million Dollar Highway are right in our backyard. Some of the most stunning fall color in Colorado surrounds us all weekend.
Community Campfire A campfire evening at our home base for the weekend. The kind of night that turns strangers into friends.
Brewery or Winery Night A private evening at TBD in downtown Durango. Private bartender. More than likely it will be at Ska Brewing that has the best craft beer in the San Juans. Great food and even better conversation.
Community Connection Van lifers, RV travelers, digital nomads, and adventure seekers who are done saying someday. All rigs welcome.
*Excursions
Guided Fly Fishing on the Legendary San Juan River Limited to 10 people total. Five boats. Two people per boat.
Come as a couple, bring a buddy, or grab a friend — just sign up as a team of two. This keeps the experience intimate, personal, and genuinely guided rather than a crowded group shuffle down the river.

Hot Air Ballooning Over the San Juan Mountains Because why not. Currently in planning — more details coming soon.
Food and Dining
Thursday Evening — Welcome Night Settle in, meet your people, and gather around the campfire. Light and casual as everyone arrives.
Friday Evening — Community Potluck Everyone brings or makes their favorite dish and we eat together family style under the San Juan sky. This is where the real connections happen. Come hungry and bring your best.
Saturday Evening — Brewery Night A private evening at Ska Brewing in downtown Durango. Craft beer, great food, and the kind of conversation that only happens when good people are in a good place together.
Sunday Morning — Farewell On your own but nobody leaves without coffee and one last look at those mountains.

Who This Is For
Van lifers and RV travelers at every stage of the journey. Digital nomads. Overlanders. Anyone who has been saying someday and is ready to make it real.

This is a genuine community gathering in one of the most beautiful places in the American West at the most beautiful time of year.

Feeling spontaneous. Who wants coffee?
Steve, Orly, and Cara are already in and we are making it happen this weekend at Elemental Bakery and Coffeehouse in Denver at 10am.
Nothing fancy. No agenda. Just a group of van owners, great coffee, great food, and probably some really good van talk.
Fly fishing spots, summer adventure plans, van mods, and trail recommendations all welcome at the table.
The more the merrier.
